This official music video for Linkin Park’s “Lost” from the album Meteora|20 uses a mixture of anime scenes using original art, original footage of the band, and AI-generated visuals. Kaiber was used to generate the AI clips

Washed Out – The Hardest Part (Official Video)

Artist, writer, and filmmaker Paul Trillo collaborated with musical artist Washed Out to create a project using OpenAI’s AI model, “Sora“. The AI music video features an innovative technique that uses continuous zoom shots to create visual illusions, drawing viewers in. Trillo explained to fans on his social media that he edited 55 clips generated by Sora using Adobe Premiere.

¥$, Ye, Ty Dolla $ign – Vultures (Havoc Version) feat. Bump J & Lil Durk

The music video for “Vultures (Havoc Version)” by ¥$—a unit formed by Kanye West, and Ty Dolla $ign—uses a creative approach where image concepts were generated using Midjourney and animated with Runway Gen-2. A portion of the visuals was previously released as a teaser for the Vultures album series. This method gives the AI music video an eerie and unsettling aesthetic that reflects the atmosphere of the track.

Within Temptation – Bleed Out (official music video)

Dutch metal titans Within Temptation worked with videographer SetVexy and digital designer RART Digital to create an AI animated music video for their single ‘Bleed Out’. The video illustrates the story of a woman being chased by an evil entity, while AI-generated band members perform around her. RART transformed the band’s live performance captured by SetVexy into an AI-driven animation.

AI Evolution – Created Only by Generative AI

Japanese artist Arata Fukoe’s video gained attention both in Japan and internationally as a video that was created entirely using AI. It also won the Bronze Award at the overseas AI-focused awards, “Project Odyssey”. The visuals were made by uploading images created by Midjourney and Stable Diffusion into video generation AI tools such as DreamMachine and Gen3 alpha, and finalising details in Adobe After Effects. The audio was also AI-generated by sunoai and lyrics using ChatGPT.

The Drill

AI video production company The Dos Brothers created an AI music video featuring world political leaders such as Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, as well as prominent figures like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. The video features the song The Pain by Pete and Mas and was created using softwares Hailuo and Krea AI. The video has generated more than 13 million views with its comical depiction of the famous figures.

Peter Gabriel – The Court (Dark-Side Mix) (Junie Lau Official Video)

Peter Gabriel partnered with Stability AI to host a music video contest titled Peter Gabriel/Stability AI #DiffuseTogether. Participants used Stable Diffusion to create original animated works inspired by Peter Gabriel’s songs. Winning entries from the contest were officially released as music videos for tracks from Gabriel’s new album, i/o. This initiative has had a big impact on creators and music professionals, showcasing the potential of AI-powered music video production in the industry.

Director Tristan Holmes used Midjourney to create this video using 10,000 frames of AI generated images, by entering prompts, and connecting frames to create in cohesive piece. The music video generation process took 30 days. The hard work really pays off and puts it a level above some of the other AI video productions.

As artificial intelligence models continue to improve and various tools become available in the market, the use of AI in music video creation is expected to become increasingly standard practice.
